thomas & applause

a quick couple of things i thought of while sitting in traffic this morning.

we have been watching a lot of thomas the tank. the kids just love thomas. and they give us a few minutes to cook dinner, empty the dish washer or throw in a load of laundry without "help". i didn't realize how much thomas we have been watching until the other day when natalie turned and told me that i was being a "bossy boiler" - a direct quote from thomas! since then we have heard other quotes such as - "bust my buffers", and "fizzling fireboxes".

daniel has started to show interest in the potty! and has had a couple of "successful" trips to the potty. as stated in all of the potty training books and guides - we clapped, high five and make a huge deal out of it. so the other day, i was using the bathroom. daniel opened the door and proceeded to clapped and high five me for using the potty! i have to say it made me feel good!
