rainy weekends

rainy weekends with two very active kids are not fun. but we found things to do inside. anytime that the rain stopped we were out jumping in puddles, looking at the flowers and and ants in the rain.

saturday morning was rough. we had lots of thunder and lighting. daniel didn't really mind the noise - but natalie did not like it at all. so we tried to tell her that it was like music coming from the sky. she didn't quite buy it.

after nap time the sun came out and it was kind of hot. so we got in the car and headed to beaver pond. our new "go-to" spot. mark bourght his fishing pole. i brought my beach chair and the kids brought energy. they had a blast running in the water, watching daddy catch fish and trying to catch tadpoles. both of the kids are becoming very brave around the water. going deeper and deeper. i really need to invest in swimming lessons.

sunday, natalie and i had a girls shopping trip to target and goodwill. it was fun to have some girl time. later that day grannie & grandpa came for a visit. the kids always love that play time. mark & i took advantage of the babysitting and enjoyed a nice lunch out along with a trip to mardens. we both found some deals!

on another note - mark has an interview on friday - keep your fingers crossed!
