fire works are now legal in most towns in maine - so of course for the 4th of july mark wanted to have our own display. so off we went to firework store - that was an adventure......
here are a few video's of mark and his fireworks.
in the town of sanford there is a baseball league that is somewhere in between college level and minor leagues. it's great to go and just be able to sit and watch a game. the stadium is VERY family friendly. our team is the sanford mainers. mark and i took the kids one night after work. we had a great time. natalie & i got to go on to the field for the water balloon toss event. daniel loved the mascot - bruce & brooser. a perfect summer night.
our good friends jay & mauri recently purchased a new house in auburn. it just so happens that this new house comes with a in ground pool - which translates into visits from us on hot days. the kids all had fun playing together - daniel, cameron, connor, natalie and lily! everyone did a great job swimming.
our guinea fowl adventure continues. for several days we keep the door to the inclosed pen that mark made closed. then one evening we decided that it was time to open the door, cross our fingers and hope that they wouldn't fly away. it is official we now have free range guinea fowl - now our problem is keeping them out of the road! in the video they are a bit noisy - but now that they are comfortable with us and the yard - they are MUCH quieter.
we took a after dinner trip to parson's beach on a hot day. the kids had fun watching mark fish and splash in the waves. i enjoyed a walk on the beach with my family!
