camp

last weekend we went upto camp. we had a great time.  mark and the kids meet me in portland on friday afterwork. we hopped into the car and headed north. as we drove north we ran into a pretty impressive thunder storm.  the kids enjoyed watching for the lightening. 

we didn't mind the rain since it was at night and the rest of the weekend. 

once at camp we had dinner, played a few card games and headed to bed. 

saturday was beautiful. sunny and warm.  we had fun wading in the water, throwing rocks, hiking, searching for bugs, fishing (both the kids caught a small mouth bass and a sunfish).  in the afternoon we took a trip into town for an ice cream. mark made a small fire pit and he cooked out dinner on the fire.  as the night came, we roasted marshmellows and enjoyed being together.

sunday morning was just as nice. mark too the kids out in the canoe.  they LOVED it.  after another small hike, throwing rocks and cleaning up the camp. we loaded up the car and said goodbye! 

we had a great time and can't wait to go back.
