cousins & the beach

johnmiles & leah were having a sleep over at grandma & papa's house on tuesday night - a perfect opportunity to get the cousins together. tuesday after work , i meet everyone at the beach in wells. it was beautiful out. warm breeze, the sun was shiny and it was low tide. mark showed the kids how to look for clam holes and dig down to "catch" them. johnmiles is quite the clam hunter! daniel got so excited with every clam that was pulled up! after splashing around in the water and sand for a bit (yes the kids did have on bathing suits and did get wet) we played on the pay-ground and had a picnic dinner - pizza & salad. after dinner it was back to the playground to burn off some energy. natalie & daniel wanted me to play tag with everyone. leah holds the title as the fastest cousin! i could not for the life of me catch her. she is quick in the sand. the kids thought it was the greatest that i kept trying and was unsuccessful. i say watch out future runners - leah is good!
