we didn't have much of a winter and so far spring is following suit. this past weekend we were outside the whole time. sunday the temps were in the 70's. the kids were in t-shitrs, shorts and flip flops. - just great if you ask me.
we took advantage of the great weather and were about to get a lot done around the house. mark & i have been trying to clear out small trees and shrubs to extend the yard. we were able to clear a whole section. the kids now have access to our BIG rock. i'm sure it will provide many hours of climbing and jumping from!
saturday was st.patrick's day. the kids & i woke early - like normal - but when i was making breakfast - the silly little leprechauns turned out pancakes and bagels green! i remember my mom doing this for us and so far natalie & daniel love to see what is going to change color!
for dinner we have traditional corned beef dinner - BUT mark, crazy as he is, tried to corned his own beef. he read is trusted cook book by marjorie standish! marjorie helps out with a lot of the cooking in our house. mark's corned beef was great. hard to tell the difference from the store bought one.
terry & jan came over for dinner. the kids had fun playing outside with them. grandpa was a good sport and picthed the baseball to daniel. speaking of baseballs - the kids will be starting t-ball soon. a sign of spring!
i continue to make progress on my door project. i am hoping to cut the door next weekend and then it should really start to look like something. this has been a fun project and something that i'd like to do again. another project that i have in the works is a headboard for daniel. for his birthday, we are getting him a big boy bed. i hope he likes what i have store for him.
