traditions

the saturday after thanksgiving means the poinsettia sale at wentworth greenhouse. we have been going to this sale for years. at the green house they have coffee, juice, cookies, doughnuts, free plants and you can visit with santa!

so off we went to get a wreath for the door and visit with santa. i dressed the kids in white shirts. i wanted them to look clean - but not too dressed up. we talked about santa; sitting on his lap and talking with him. natalie said as we pulled in to parking lot "i'm not going to be shy and i'll talk to him" well this go her attitude lasted all of about 5 seconds after she saw santa. daniel from the first mention of santa had decided that he wanted nothing to do with him.

thankfully there are many "photo" ready pictures spots. i'm not sure where this first started, but the kids only want to make goofy faces in pictures. so we compromised - they got to make a silly face and then had to smile nicely!








we also had a great visit from our friends amie, mike, hannah and nathan. i love that we are able to keep in touch with such wonderful people. the kids played so well together.
