okay - so my goal of writing weekly has failed miserably. so for now i'll just play catch up and see what happens next month....going back through the pictures this is what happened in our life..
the end of august aunt mary lou drove alex home from his amazing internship in NYC. we had an awesome time visiting with her. grandma and papa sprung for red sox tickets, as mary lou is a sox fan living in enemy territory (Yankee's). this was her first time at fenway park.

at the end of each summer there is a kite festival in ogunquit with professional kite flyers (now there's a job i wish i had!). it worked out the johnmiles and leah were down for a visit at the same time. the kids all got to decorate a kite. these kites look rather cheap and flimsy - but they are the best kites we have ever had. they still are flying - several weeks later.

it was hotter than i thought it was going to be - so the kids stripped down and went swimming!
we have a new cat. after
popcorn didn't come home one night, our other cat cricket was lonely. she would sit outside and meow for him. it was very sad. so the kids and i went to the shelter and found a cat, about the same age - and we welcomed home eve. she is a very friendly and loveable tiger cat with a LOUD meow.
She reminds me of big grandma's cat sally - but nicer!
this fall has been full of great weather. we have been going on hikes up
mt. agamenticus and
vaughn woods. natalie likes to read the trail maps and daniel keeps his eye out trolls and animals!
