fall is here

it is safe to say that summer is gone and it is now fall in maine.  this past weekend, we needed to get out of the house and found ourselves in lowes.  there i found potted mums for $1.00 a piece.  at first i didn't beleive it and then was reassured that yes - they were only a dollar.  i couldn't pass it up.  our house if now decorated for fall.

the bittersweet wreath was made by grandma & papa. the pumpkins were grown my grandpa in his garden. and the kids are goofy as ever!

popcorn & cricket are such fun. last weekend the kids and i made a "fun" box for them.  it is an box that i cut holes in and added a few pipe-cleaners and yarn too!  the kittens love it and we like watching them play.  the kittens have always been interested in the bath tub - watching the water fill up, watching the kids - so it didn't surprise me when while natalie was taking bath that cricket was in the bathroom.  but what did surprise me was that she hopped into the tub with her.  natalie was calling out to us to "come see THIS" and we found cricket standing up to her belly in the tub.  she didn't mind at all!  strange cat!

lily came for a visit and was attacked by the sticker monster!

speaking of being attacked - these next few pictures don't to it justice.  yesterday i came home to find the whole house covered in ladybugs. this isn't the first time - a few weeks ago mark found them inside the house.  i like ladybugs - just not in droves.....
