summer's here - well maybe

tee- ball has finished for the season; mark is almost done with school and i am looking forward to relaxing on the beach. the past week has been rainy to say the least. we got over 6 inches of rain in one day! can you say water logged! even with all of the rain we were able to have some fun. we discovered that the BK in sanford has a play house in it - and much to our surprise - it isn't that busy. as i write this, mark is on his way to portland to meet me where the four of us will travel up to camp. a friend of mark's is letting us use his camp on clearwater lake for the weekend. it will be a fun time - although i do feel as if we have packed for a 6 trip. one never knows what we might need. there will be swimming, fishing, hiking, canoeing and many other fun adventures! since we are going to be away from this house this weekend - we needed to do something with our 6 guinea hens. after working on the "house" in the back yard mark finished making it hen ready. last night after dinner we all stood around and watched the hens adjust their new home. they now have a place to stretch their wings, practice flying and roost for the night. the next step is to build a fenced in yard for them. we need to "train" them that this is their home before we are able to let them free range around the yard. another thing that we are gearing up for is the very exciting vacation to bermuda!!!!!! yep we are heading out on a cruise on june 22. grandma, papa, uncle alex, cousin grace, uncle bob(christian), auntie, leah and john miles will be onthe boat with us. a BIG thank you to grandma & papa for taking us with them! natalie & daniel still believe me that there is a boat big enough to have a pool on it! i have started packing already - - - can't wait i'll be posting picture from camp and the guineas!
