weekend adventures

once again we packed a lot into our two day worth of weekends. on saturday, natalie & i had some girl time as we went to a baby shower. natalie had a hard time understanding why we couldn't see the baby and why the baby wouldn't be opening the present herself. natalie's favorite part was the pool.

after the baby shower, natalie & i came home to a surprise visit from deanna, sam and lucas! it was great to see them and to be able to show off the new house. thanks for the chocolate covered pretzel - my favorite!

saturday was complete by yet another party! this time we traveled to shilo's house. natalie & daniel happened to be the only kids at the party - but we made the most of it. shilo & russ made the kids feel very welcome and had plenty of fun toys to play with. natalie & daniel impressed all of the guest with their batting, bubble blowing and driving way decorating (chalk) skills. but a highlight for all was when russ turned on the sprinkler!

on sunday, mark captained a fishing trip on the emily sea. this was his first time running the boat. he did a great job. they had a great time, caught fish, returned with all 4 guys and made some money! tonight (monday) we will get to taste a couple fish from trip - i can't wait!




while mark was fishing, the kids & i hit the beach. we went at low tide - which left lots of fun places to explore and discover. natalie went for a sleep -over with grandpa. which made perfect mommy & daniel time. daniel is such a easy going, fun, lovable & smart kid. as a treat, we went and had ice cream at the scoopdeck BEFORE dinner! daniel picked out M&M while i had pistachio. i just love summer.
