there have been many signs of spring and also a few from winter to remind us that we live in maine. yesterday we all were able to spend a fun day hanging out due to a snow day. YES - a snow day on april fools day. - no joke we had about 5 inches of snow that quickly melted.
today we had a busy day. i took the kids to home depot for another project. daniel LOVES to hammer and he is getting better. i didn't get hit once on this trip. natalie favorite part is the glue. she uses a lot of glue. after a visit to the dog park - to see bailey and his "friends" we had lunch with grandma & papa and then headed home for nap.
after nap, the sun was still shinning and the tide was right for playing on the beach. for the first time this year we brought the sand toys down with us. daniel is quite the castle builder. meanwhile natalie likes to create rivers from the "puddles" to the ocean!
after dinner, we went to the rachel carson reserve for a hike. the kids had a blast running and seeking out hiding spots. mark & i enjoyed the quite nature walk, seeing ducks & geese and time spent together.
