bowling....

the majority of our "vacation" was consumed with looking for a house - but that didn't mean i found sometime for fun.

on saturday we meet up with uncle alex, jaclyn and lily for candle pin bowling. none of the kids had ever been before and it has been a long since any of the adults had on crazy shoes. the kids liked the ball return the best. i was worried that little fingers would get smashed by the balls coming back - but we managed to avoid that horrible sceen. daniel loved rolling the balls down the lane - but didn't really see it necessary to watch the ball the whole time. natalie did really well too. she liked using the different colored balls and even manged to find a "favorite" one. maybe she'll be a bowler....

i was worried that we'd wittiness a situation like the movie uncle buck - where the ball rolls down so slowly and doesn't knock over any pins. at one point daniel was SO excited he didn't wait for the balls to make it down the lane all the way.

all in all it was a great way to spend a morning.
