this month has been meet by a couple of milestones for the kids. first was a trip to the dentist. natalie, having been to the dentist once before, couldn't wait to hop up into the chair. she liked having her teeth tickled by the loud toothbrush. but by far her favorite part of the whole experience was the vacuum. she couldn't get enough of it. after a successful cleaning she was able to pick a toy from the treasurer chest.
daniel on the other hand was not too thrilled to be at the dentist. we have no problem brushing his teeth at home - but i think all of the new people, equipment and noises scared him. sitting on my lap, he did let the dentist brush his teeth and even floss too! daniel's favorite part was the water gun. he was able to try it out. he watered the walls, the floor, the ceiling and me too!
some other daniel news is that he is taking a bit more interest in potty training. he still doesn't really like to sit on the potty - but does recognise when he needs his diaper changed. it may be a small step - but a step in the right direction.
the timing of the full moon, low tide and "warmer" weather made for perfect walks on the beach after dinner. it was lots of fun to explore the beach at night time. daniel loved how big the moon was and natalie liked looking at the stars.
this week is school vacation week and i have taken time off work as well. on tuesday we go to meet with a mortgage company and then on wednesday we have a marathon trip on viewing houses. hopefully we will find "the" house this week.
