sledding

on monday, the kids and i went sledding at payson park in portland. we meet up with good friends kim, paul, abbey & lily. i also gave auntie, johnmiles & leah a call to see if they'd be up for sledding. lucky for us they were. it was a cold day, but thankfully the wind wasn't blowing. the lack of wind and a clear blue sky kept us warm. not to mention the hike back up the hill. natalie loves going sledding. she couldn't wait to jump on her sled. daniel liked going down as well - but wasn't up for going alone. he liked going down on my lap.

the kids have been participating in saturday morning basketball at noble high school. this past weekend was the best day yet. natalie listened to the coach for directions. daniel played in the group and worked on his dribbling skills.




sunday, as a treat the kids & i went to mcdonalds. we went inside to eat. for the kids this is extra special! we got one drink to share. i mixed a little bit of sprite with lemonade. much to their delight - the soda made the kids burp! which made the kids laugh - which made them try to burp louder. the sounds of burping caught the attention of the high school boys across the dinning room. one actually gave natalie a "nice one!" i'm so proud!
