update

so a lot has happened since the last time i posted. we are under contract on the house. closing date is set for aug 31. we have hot a few bumps (house inspection) in the road - but nothing that couldn't be fixed. we are planning on being out of the house completely by aug 28.

mark starts his new job in rochester nh. he will be teaching sections of chemist and a class called "journey through time". i suggested he show mel brooks history of the world - but he didn't think that was the right thing to do being the new teacher and all!

after much thought and consideration we have decided to spend the winter along wells beach. we will be renting a house at the beach. we originally had planned on buying and moving right into a house, but we were having a hard time finding the right house for what we have to spend. it will be a fun adventure along the beach. we are hoping for some great fall and early spring weather and to be able to use the beach as much as possible! we feel that renting the house in the best choice right now. we are closer to grandparents but will still have our own house and family together. plus we won't feel guilty about asking grandparents to babysit!

i will post pictures our beach house when i can.

in the midst of packing & trying to figure all of this stuff out - we did take the kids to a day out with thomas. it was super fun! they had a great time. we told them the morning of that we were going for an adventure and loaded up the car! the look of the kids faces when we pulled into the parking lot and the started to see pictures of thomas and hear of riding on thomas was priceless. the whole event was well put together and organized. there were different stations to visit all with different things to play with, watch or do. the first one we came upon was having your picture taken with sir topham hat! natalie ran right up and held his hand - daniel meanwhile was quite content in my arms and waving to him!

as we made it up to the train station - the excitement and joy grew on their faces - it was the best site ever. standing in line we heard and then saw thomas come from around the corner -the kids were thrilled screaming "hi thomas" and waving to him. the train ride was great, we went through the woods, by a pond and under a covered bridge. the kids had fun waving to the crowd and whistling along with thomas.

there was thomas shaped bounce house, a maze, a ten with all the train sets imaginable, coloring tables, stamping, a place to watch thomas video's, a tent with singing and story telling, hay rides, tractor rides and thomas tattoo's! we could have spent the whole day!

at the gift shop we let the kids pick out something to take home. natalie picked a thomas cup and daniel a pair of thomas flip flops - he loves wearing them!
