happy easter

we had a wonderful easter, seeing family, enjoying the warmth of early spring, wonderful food and playing with cousins. saturday we traveled south and made a first stop at grannie and grandpa's. the weather could not have been better for an easter egg hunt outside.

the easter bunny, mark and grandpa, made a special visit and hide eggs outside. the kids had such fun finding them. daniel even found the same egg several times thank do quick hands by grandpa.

natalie spent the night at grannie's house while daniel enjoyed being the only child at grandma and papa's. i helped daniel bring down all the toys - much to the enjoyment of uncle alex.

saturday afternoon i surprised papa. since he has had his motorcycle he has asked "wanted to go for a ride" my response has always been no thanks - well saturday afternoon that changed. on went the helmet. dad started the bike up - i very coolie threw my leg over the bike and was very confident until - he started to move. then slight panic set in. having never been on a motorcycle before i was not sure what to expect. down the road we went faster and faster (really about 35 mphs) around the first bend in the road and insert space mountain scream here!

after stopping for a few minutes to regain composure and my voice we head off again. the ride was fun. i liked it - it will take some time getting used to leaning into a curve - but defiantly think that i'll get on a bike again.

sunday we had a great easter. the kids were so well behaved in church. daniel clapped after the songs and natalie liked standing on the pews so that she could see what was going on. after church we had fun playing outside with bubbles, balls, trucks and sand buckets. mark's parents joined us dinner. it was wonderful to have everyone together. the cousins came after dinner. it is always great to have the kids play together. they really enjoy each other. daniel does his best to keep up and stay involved with the gang! pictures will follow soon!
