past weekend

this past weekend i gained a three day weekend due to the storm on friday. i love being an adult and still getting snow days! and even better was that mark and the kids still had school. so i took the morning to relax, watch the today show and pack a couple of boxes.

i did pick the kids up early and went to visit with cousins leah and miles with grandma. the kids had such fun playing in the puddles, riding bikes and being together.

saturday night we had some friends over for dinner. kim, paul and their daughters abbey and lily. the kids had such fun playing together while mark and i loved having adult conversations.

sunday started out different. natalie woke early sunday morning not feeling good. from about 5am on we were visiting the bathroom quite often. it was so hard to watch her be sick and not feel like herself. but after a long nap, she woke up to be herself again. sunday night she ate a great dinner and we didn't look back.

we didn't look back until monday around 9:30 when the flu hit me. it was horrible - i came home and crashed on the couch and didn't move all day. so i am taking another day to heal at home.
