happy birthday, christmas tree and advice from miles

this weekend we celebrated natalie's 3rd birthday. we had a wonderful day with family. cousins miles, leah, auntie elizabeth, uncle christian, grannie, grandpa and aunt sally and uncle terry helped us celcebrate 3 years. natalie was excited to wear her party dress and even wonder why daniel wasn't going to put his on!!!!

natalie received a two-wheel bike from grandma and papa. i do have some video of natalie riding her bike. she does a great job!

along with natalie's 3rd birthday, we also celebrated the first snow of the season. the kids wanted to play in the snow. there wasn't much snow on the ground but we managed to go sledding and miles managed to make the first snowman of the year!

the next morning, natalie and daniel enjoyed sledding on about 4-5 inches of snow. daniel loved it.

daniel liked the balloons and daniel likes to bite things - who can guess where this is going. so yes a ballooon popped in daniel's face (the picture of daniel cryin in papa's lap). miles gave daniel some very useful advice while he was recovering from the popping experience. from miles to daniel - "you don't want to suck out the air of the balloon cause the air would go into your head and then your head would fill up with air and explode or float away".

sunday afternoon, mark and i and the kids went to get our christmas tree. thankfully this year no one cried when we brought it in the house! the kids had fun and are having fun decorating the tree. daniel likes the lights - ligh is also a word that he can now say - so he likes to point out all of the lights!

more pictures and video's will be coming soon -
