the sun was shining on saturday morning and we had a great time picking berries. natalie had fun finding and eating the berries. and was a bit fascinated by the squished ones on the path, she kept trying to pick those up and put them in her basket!
i wasn't able to keep daniel's basket full enough. he was eating them so quickly. we all left with red fingers.
sunday afternoon, natalie helped me make shortcakes and we enjoyed strawberry shortcakes for dessert. one of my favorite summer time treats. natalie loves helping out in the kitchen.
we had a nice visit with grannie and grandpa on friday. mark and i took advantage of babysitting; ran some errands and grabbed a lunch out.
