Last night after a quick dinner, Mark and I decided to take a walk down by the river. We quickly threw Natalie's stroller, Daniel's carrier, Mark's fishing pole and snacks for all into the car and headed out the door.
It started out as a great idea. A change to get some fresh air, watch Dad catch a fish and get a little bit of exercise. But all went down hill fast. Daniel thought that sine he was awake - he should be eating. Natalie wanted to get out of the stroller. She kept telling people that walked by that she was stuck! Once she was free - she wanted to sit in my lap while I was trying to feed Daniel.
We did have a few moments of peace while watching Dad catch a Small Mouth Bass. After the fish - the chase started. Natalie took off running(which wasn't too bad she was ready for bed when we go home), but there we were running after her. So there we were with Daniel hanging off me, Mark trying to point Natalie in the right direction and Natalie trying to walk in whatever direction the closest doggie was!!!!
We all made it home and will try the walk again. As they say practice makes perfect.
oh - the black flies are out in full force now.
